TO be selected as the Head Boy of Ratu Kadavulevu School is the height of honour and prestige as a student. While the selection criteria varies for each Principal and his team of teachers, some common characteristics that RKS student leaders have demonstrated year-on-year include:

Leadership Skills: they demonstrate strong leadership skills including the ability to motivate and inspire others, make decisions, and take initiative.

Responsibility: they are often seen as a role model for other students, so are responsible, trustworthy, and reliable.

Communication Skills: they are able to communicate clearly and effectively with their peers, teachers, and other stakeholders of the RKS community, especially in the indigenous Fijian language and dialects or Vosa Vaka Viti.

Commitment: they show commitment to their studies, extracurricular activities like sports, and the school community at large.

Respectfulness: they show respect for others, regardless of their popularity or social status.

Resilience: they are hardy and have the ability to bounce back from set-backs and challenges that they face.

Initiative: they show initiative and a willingness to take on challenges and make positive changes within the school community.

We salute all the Head Boys of RKS and we thank them for their leadership during their tenure. We continue to look to them for guidance and support, as we navigate our way through life, post-Lodoni. To those that have passed on, may their legacies live on in us and their loved ones.
